Hey Hollis Woods lovers,

This week I was the vocabulary person. I chose six words that were interesting and then I wrote the definition. Below you can find all of my words. I hope you like them :D! I also hope you learn something new :D!

1.The first word is jetties. I found it on page 138 paragraph 4. the definition is:
A landing or stage or a small pier at which boats can dock or moored.

2.The second word, that I chose, is dusky. I found it on page 134 paragraph 2. The definition is:
Darkish in color-it could also mean dim.

3.The third word that I found interesting, was jerking. I found it on page 133 paragraph 1. The definition that I found was pretty simple:
Move or cause to move with a jerk.

4.The fourth word I found was loon. I found it on page 134 paragraph 2. The definition is:
A silly or foolish person.

5.The fifth word that I found was turret. I found it on page 135 paragraph 3. The definition is:
A small tower on top of a larger tower or at the corner of a building or wall, typically a castle.

6.The six and final word I found was cascading. I found it on page 140 paragraph 5. The definition is:
(Of water) pour downward rapidly and in large quantities-it also mean pass (something) on to a succession of other.
