Pictures of Hollis Woods

Ana Marija

Summarizer

I have read 122 pages of the novel Pictures of Hollis Woods, by Patricia Reilly Giff. In the latest 22 pages of this novel a lot of exciting events happened. First, Hollis went out to the bank for a fishing trip and was almost seen by another fisherman, she would have been if she hadn't fled the scene as soon as she had seen him. Next, Hollis was sitting in front of a windowsill, in the house in Branches, drawing a picture of Josie and Beatrice at the movies in front of a popcorn machine, for Josie as Christmas present. Finally, in one (the eleventh one) of Hollis's pictures she climbed the mountain near by the house in Branches, when she was climbing down she slipped and fell hurting herself, she was not able to continue going down by herself so she called Steven, who had earlier left to go fishing, he came even though didn't hear her calling his name because he felt bad about leaving her alone and when she wasn't at home he thought she went to climb the mountain. Steven, Izzy and the Old Man were Hollis's old foster family.
